Scalability Engineers

Scalability is a hot buzzword from 2015; and individuals who can code and manage databases, systems, and programs for scalability are only rising in demand. In part, this skillset isn't just about enabling a platform to scale well, but doing so efficiently and creating optimizations. Strong Linux skills are usually a must, as is a good working knowledge of network operations.

Mobile Developers

The trends for designing mobile have been on a steep upward climb, perhaps in part due to the recent Google push for all websites to be mobile friendly. But a massive proportion of google searches and internet usage are now mobile, and many website and software owners are vying to tackle that market. So there's a massive need for skilled mobile and cross-platform developers, particularly those who can develop not just in CSS, but Javascript or AngularJS. UX Designers

Even a small percentage of upward change in conversion optimization can result in significant additional revenue for a business. Those interested in conversion optimization should have a strong working knowledge of applications like Google analytics, user behavior, and on-site hooks.

Database Administrators

'Big data' is more than just the biggest buzzword of 2015; big data analysis has yielded overwhelming amounts of information on how to improve everything from clickthrough rates to user experience. And it's often database administrators who are responsible for organizing and analyzing a lot of that information on the ground level. But what a database admin does is entirely dependent on the database itself; massive websites might need intense database optimization to handle visitor loads, while others might be responsible for wrangling and maintaining massive clientlist databases.

Developers Who Don't Assume

This one no doubt sounds a little strange; but when developing, it's usually true that small bugs and errors occur more when the user makes basic and simple assumptions, and doesn't thoroughly check their work. Individuals who assume less, who are critical of themselves and others, are prone to asking questions, and chase after deeper answers. It's these personality traits which often yield more productive workers who are prone to suggesting creative solutions.
